	Membership Grade


	There are several membership grades available. The grades are based upon the qualifications of the members and their experiences. The grades are shown below.

Membership Grade	Conditions	Fees (annually)
Affiliate Member	Professionals that are not directly related to Oil & Gas Industry	RM 50.00
Associate Member	Students at Tertiary Level ( i.e. students of institute / college / university )	RM 50.00
Graduate Member	Graduates of Tertiary Level ( i.e. had graduated from institute / college / university )	RM 100.00
Professional Member	Holding a Tertiary Education with more than 5 years of experiences and had submitted Recognized Prior Experience (RPE) to the society. RPE form could be obtained by sending an email to the address stated below membership@PTechS.org	RM 150.00
Chartered Member	Holding a Tertiary Education with more than 10 years experiences and had submitted Technical Report of Compiled Experiences (minimum of 10 pages) and had gone through Assessment Interview set by the Council of the Society	RM 200.00
Fellow Member	Holding a Tertiary Education with more than 10 years experiences and had submitted Technical Report of Compiled Experiences (minimum of 10 pages) and had gone through Assessment Interview set by the Council of the Society. Also a post holder of the society	RM 250.00
Honorary Fellow Member	Elected by the Council of the Society (eg. individuals that contributed to the alleviation of the Oil & Gas Industry)	waive
Emeritus Fellow Member	Elected by the Council of the Society (eg. imminent leaders of the Oil & Gas Industry)	waive




		Members Area
		The society offers members the privilege to access reading materials for research and learning purposes. These materials come in different shades and forms such as technical documents, technical papers, white papers, text books, online libraray, and others.

		Apart from documents, the society also gives members the opportunity to spend time at selected oil & gas facilities in order for them to observe the nature of the oil & gas business. Subsequently most of our members go on to do their On Job Training (OJT) at these facilities.

		Advancement
		Employers often see extra curricular activities as a processes that build character onto their employees. PTechS gives members the avenue to actuate oil & gas activities that would prep up their resume and strengthen their portfolios. Several of our consultancies had been out sourced to our members which allow them to gain experiences and professional leverage.

	Projects
	The society had actuated numerous oil & gas projects and we allow members to be interns of these projects. The internship usually lasts from 2 months till 1 year. During the concourse of the project, the interns would be supervised by PTechS senior member who acts as a project supervisor. Each intern would be given a log book that they are obliged to fill after completion of each task. At the end of the internship, the log book would be validated by the supervisor and this log book could be used to gain entry into professional engineering bodies.

	We also have Corporate Membership where companies which meet the criteria are denoted as Corporate Member. The annual fee for Corporate Membership is RM 1000.00. Every member of each grade would have to pay an entrance fee of RM 100.00 (once off payment). For Corporate Member, the entrance fee is RM 600.00 (once off payment).
